Privacy Policy
Booze Count (“the App”) helps you log alcoholic drinks, set reduction goals, and see progress. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the App on iOS.
1. Information we process
On-device app data. Drink logs, moods, urges, goals, challenges, achievements, profile preferences (for example weight used for BAC estimates), and related settings are stored primarily on your device using Apple’s local storage mechanisms. We do not operate a Booze Count account server that stores your drink history.
Purchases & subscriptions. If you buy a subscription, Apple processes payment and subscription status through StoreKit / App Store. We receive entitlement signals needed to unlock paid features; we do not receive your full payment card details.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, Apple’s push / local notification systems deliver reminders you enable (for example drink-log prompts, challenge offers, or award alerts). Content of those reminders is generated on-device unless noted otherwise in the App.
Optional analytics. The App may include optional product analytics (for example Firebase Analytics) to understand feature usage in aggregate. Analytics identifiers and events, if enabled in a given build, are processed under Apple’s and the analytics provider’s terms. You can limit tracking via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
Diagnostics. Apple may collect crash and performance diagnostics according to your device settings and App Store agreements.
2. How we use information
- Provide core features: logging, goals, challenges, BAC estimates, widgets, and Live Activities.
- Honor subscription entitlements you purchased.
- Send reminders you opt into.
- Improve reliability and product quality when analytics/diagnostics are available.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by:
- Apple — App Store, StoreKit, notifications, device OS services.
- Analytics providers — only if enabled in the shipped build.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Retention & deletion
On-device data remains until you delete it in-app (where available) or delete the App. Uninstalling removes local App data from that device. Subscription billing history remains with Apple.
5. Children
The App is not directed to children under 17 and is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. Do not use the App if you are under that age.
6. Health disclaimer
Booze Count is not a medical device and does not provide medical, legal, or driving advice. BAC figures are estimates only. Never drive after drinking based on this App.
