Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the Booze Count iOS application (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (and at least 17 where required by App Store age ratings) to use the App. The App is for personal, non-commercial use.
2. The service
Booze Count provides tools to log drinks, estimate blood alcohol concentration (BAC), set reduction goals, run challenges, and view progress. Features may change over time.
3. Not medical or legal advice
Content and calculations in the App are for informational self-tracking only. They are not medical advice, treatment, diagnosis, or a substitute for professional care. BAC estimates can be wrong. Do not rely on the App to decide whether you are safe to drive, work, or operate machinery. Follow local laws and never drive after drinking.
4. Subscriptions & payments
- Paid features may require an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple.
- Prices are shown in the App / App Store at purchase time and billed by Apple to your Apple ID.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via the manage-subscription link in the App.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to interfere with its operation, reverse engineer except where permitted by law, or use it for unlawful purposes.
6. Intellectual property
The App, branding, and content are owned by Mello Labs or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mello Labs and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you only used free features).
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The effective date at the top will be revised when we publish changes.
